In March 2024, about thirty nursing homes from the AFP group, including the Pierre Péricard nursing home, stopped using their previous tool to manage replacements, as this little-known tool among caregivers did not allow them to attract temporary workers to build a sufficient pool of substitutes. They then replaced it with Hublo, a solution that is already proving its worth in the eyes of Katia Ducros, director of the Pierre Péricard nursing home: “I am very satisfied with the solution; we have only been using it for 3 months, but so far, we see only positive outcomes! It’s intuitive, and you quickly understand how it works!”
“What I like about Hublo is that it is a turnkey solution that really allows us to save time,” explains Ms. Ducros, who adds that Hublo “helps us gain more visibility.”
Before Hublo, the nursing home only knew of 2 external temporary workers, an insufficient number that their previous tool did not allow them to increase.
In three months of using Hublo, the nursing home has recruited 70 temporary workers in its pool, which already meets a significant part of its needs: “80% of our planned replacements this summer have been covered by Hublo, whereas before we would have had to rely entirely on temporary staffing. This allows us to better manage our ongoing needs for temporary work from partner staffing agencies of our establishments,” explains Katia Ducros.
“A temporary worker who comes back often is positive for everyone, including our employees” says Ms. Ducros, who appreciates seeing some of the temporary workers from her Hublo pool return regularly to the establishment for assignments.
Indeed, “the fact of retaining these temporary workers is very positive for us because the more they come, the better they know our establishment and our residents” explains Katia Ducros, who adds that “perhaps at some point they will feel the need to settle down and take a position with us if the opportunity arises.”
It is now evident to her to consider Hublo as a new recruitment channel: “Today's professionals prioritize their quality of life at work. They prefer to discover the establishment by doing small assignments before committing in the long term.”
