After relying on temporary agencies for a long time to ensure continuity of care, the EHPAD Saint-Joseph de Jarzé turned to Hublo to manage its replacements at a lower cost while regaining control over the choice of substitutes. An effective solution according to Angélique Halgand, the IDEC in charge of managing the schedule and replacements in the establishment, who states that “it would be a real loss if I no longer had it”.

A tool that promotes autonomy and savings

It was Angélique Halgand who initiated the implementation of Hublo within the EHPAD, after hearing about its benefits from several peers: “I was immediately interested in the idea of being able to choose the profiles that come to work with us. With temporary staff, you are never safe from unpleasant surprises, and things can also go wrong with the teams.”

The implementation of Hublo in the establishment went smoothly, as Ms. Halgand testifies: “I found the tool very easy to use. I also appreciated the level of support: we are well guided with regular video conferences to check in.”

The other main attraction of this solution was financial: “The year before, temporary staffing represented a significant budget” explains Angélique Halgand, “whereas now, 99% of our replacements are carried out by the temporary staff from our pool on Hublo”. A drastic reduction that could allow the establishment to invest more in other key budget items.

Some of our part-time employees have also joined our pool of substitutes on Hublo: it is both clear and very simple for them.

A constantly growing pool of substitutes

Previously, the nursing home had no known temporary staff to turn to in case of occasional needs. Today, it can rely on 25 nursing assistants and 11 registered nurses who have been carefully recruited from its pool of substitutes by Angélique Halgand, who specifies “receiving at least one new application for integration of a registered nurse or nursing assistant every day”.

With Hublo being used by more than a third of registered nurses and 70% of nursing assistants in France, this solution indeed serves as a showcase for the establishments that use it: “We were surprised to see so many caregivers wanting to join our pool, without us ever having communicated on our side. Word of mouth works very well, but many also find us directly through the application” explains Angélique Halgand.
