In March 2024, the EHPAD Résidence Colonel Picot chose Hublo to optimize its management of replacements, with the aim of not only reducing its reliance on temporary staff but also improving the quality of life at work for the management, for whom this task was as time-consuming as it was anxiety-inducing - especially during the summer period. For Anne-Cécile Mercier, the management assistant at the establishment, “it’s a real relief to use Hublo”.
With only a handful of known temporary workers, the EHPAD was unable to compensate for the high absenteeism rate within the teams. Forced to frequently rely on temporary staff, Ms. Mercier was not satisfied with this solution because “the agencies have a lot of requests to handle and don’t always keep us informed, so we are anxious about not having the certainty of getting the support we need.”
With Hublo, which allows her to regain control over her management of replacements, “I am now an active participant in the management, I feel more autonomous and more reassured,” says Ms. Mercier. In just a few months, the EHPAD has already built a pool of 72 substitutes that now meets all its needs. “We spent €22,000 on temporary staff in 2023. With Hublo, I have already recouped my expenses related to the management of replacements in just 3 months,” Ms. Mercier reports.

“I didn’t expect the positive effects to be so quick” says Ms. Mercier, “right from the first week, I had 40 requests to join our pool, and we receive about fifteen new requests each week.”
Anne-Cécile Mercier also appreciates the fact that several of these temporary staff members regularly return to carry out assignments at the establishment: “It’s very convenient for me because they already have the codes to enter, the welcome booklet... They know the establishment and our practices” she explains.
This loyalty is beneficial for the staff who “don’t need to waste time welcoming them and explaining everything”, but also for the patients who “appreciate seeing the same faces” according to Ms. Mercier.
